Eastern Idaho 99s
The Eastern Idaho 99s is a local chapter of The Ninety-Nines International Organization of Women Pilots
with the mission to promote advancement of aviation through education, scholarships, and mutual support while honoring our unique history and sharing our passion for flight.
We are a diverse group of women pilots.
We fly airplanes of various kinds. We are private pilots and student pilots.
We support women in all phases of their aviation journey. And we share our passion and the wonders of aviation with our communities and our youth.
Revived Chapter Takes Flight
After a brief hiatus, the Eastern Idaho chapter of the Ninety-Nines has taken flight once again,
boasting a roster of about 15 active members and growing.
Serving the region stretching from Pocatello through Teton Valley, the group is set to make waves in the local aviation community fostering camaraderie among women aviators.
The Ninety-Nines, founded by Amelia Earhart and 98 other women pilots in 1929, has long been a symbol of empowerment and unity in the aviation world.
The Eastern Idaho chapter gained multiple new members in recent months who are eager to continue the organization's legacy in this region.
Chapter activities will include mentorship for student pilots, scholarship fundraising and opportunities, fun social gatherings to network with fellow aviators and continuing legacy projects like airmarking and painting compass roses at airports within the region.
