Email sent December, 2011 to Idaho Pilots:
Hi Everyone,
We wish you Happy Holidays, and a prosperous and safe New Year. A couple of notes to pass along to your flying friends and other
interested parties:
1. We are accepting articles for the next issue of the Rudder Flutter, which is scheduled for publication in mid-February. Please send them to
me by January 15. If you have pictures to go with the article, please enclose them as separate digital files. Your participation has been key in
making the RF a success. Thank you for your continuing support.
2. For those of you who need to renew your CFI certificate, we have two refresher clinics scheduled February 3-4 at the Boise Hotel and
Convention Center (old Holiday Inn at Vista and I-84) and April 13-14 at the new Caldwell Air Terminal. You should be able to download a
registration form from our website or give us a call and we can register you over the phone. If you want to pay by CC, you will have to
register over the phone. $90 is the cost until January 27, and then it goes up to $100. All pilots and certificates are welcome; however,
renewing CFIs with unexpired certificates will have priority through January 27th. Seating is limited, so please don't wait until the last minute
to register. WINGS credit will be given for completing the course.
3. Aviation Career Exploration (ACE) Academy, a three-day exploration of aviation careers for Idaho high school students, grades 9-12, ages
14-18, is scheduled for June 25-27 here in Boise. Applications will be available on our website by mid-January. Everything you need to know
about ACE Academy is included on the application. As soon as they are available, I will send you all another heads up.
Please circulate this email among your friends and fellow flyers, and help us get the word out about these important events. As always, any
success these programs have realized has been due to your assistance and support; for that all of us at Aeronautics are deeply grateful.
Please give me a holler, if you have any questions or concerns.
Thanks, and fly safe; fly smart in 2012,
Frank
